2022 Kentucky PGA Junior Tour Schedule Released
Kentucky PGA Junior Tour's 2022 schedule announced with tournament registration open as well.
LOUISVILLE, KY (January 17, 2022) – The Kentucky PGA Junior Tour’s 2022 schedule is now available to view with tournament registration for each event open as well. More than forty events have been scheduled running from March through October.
The season will open with a two-day Season Kickoff as opposed to a one-day starting event in years past. Juniper Hill Golf Course in Frankfort will be the host site. In the weeks to follow, for the first time ever the Tour will host weekday tournaments during most schools’ spring break weeks. On Tuesday, April 5, the first Series Tournament of the year will be held at Polo Fields Golf & Country Club in Louisville. The next week, A.J. Jolly Golf Course in Alexandria will hold a spring break event on Thursday, April 14.
The Tour’s major championships will once again launch from Richmond where The University Club at Arlington will host the Kentucky Girls Junior PGA Championship on May 31-June 1. Gibson Bay Golf Course will be the site of the Kentucky Boys Junior PGA Championship on June 1-2. One month later, the Kentucky Girls Junior Amateur will return to Bardstown Country Club on July 7-8. University of Louisville Golf Club will then host the Kentucky Boys Junior Amateur for the first time on July 11-12.
The Tour is returning to the structure that was in place during the 2020 season as it relates to the Lou Perry Tour Championship. That event will serve as the final event of the year on October 15-16. Cherry Blossom Golf Club in Georgetown will be the host venue. As a result of this change, players will be able to accrue points for the Kentucky PGA Junior Tour’s Player of the Year races during Fall Series events in August.
The complete schedule for the season is as follows. Please note that dates and venues are subject to change. Major championships are denoted with bold text. Qualifiers operated by Kentucky Junior Golf not counting towards Kentucky PGA Junior Tour points standings are italicized. National tournaments occurring in Kentucky are italicized with bold text.
